They will be headlining the entertainment on Saturday, June 21 at The Loft.
Pope Jane is the internationally acclaimed all-female
pop/rock band originally from the Big Sky of Billings, Montana, highly noted
for their mold-breaking contributions to the Independent music movement of the
1990’s with their groove-based hooks, rich vocal harmonies, and tremendous live
performance. Touring the Northwest and other regions for years prior to the
band's relocation to Pope Jane's fascinating career and undeniable cult-rock status has earned the term "legendary" by entertainment trades, landing the band coverage in national periodicals like Curve Magazine, Music Connection Magazine and Girlfriends Magazine, with Curve Magazine naming singer Danielle Egnew as “Most Likely to Turn You Into an Obsessed Fan”.
In 2007, several of Pope Jane’s songs were used in the
feature film Changing Spots, a drama in which Pope Jane lead vocalist Danielle
Egnew also starred. The band has also made several live TV appearances and
radio interviews over the years, with their video "Forgive Myself",
directed by Lance Mora, staying at #1 for one month straight on NetthisTV in
Los Angeles. With the release of their third album, "Hide Me From The
Moon", Pope Jane’s music broke throughout the

recognition with radio programmers from across the Throughout the years, Pope Jane has played with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Indigenous, and an array of other diverse national acts including Ted Nugent, Mark Chestnut, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Rick Trevino, and even Loverboy and Quiet Riot. The band has graced the stages of famous Hollywood music clubs such as The Whiskey a Go-Go, The Rainbow, and The Cat Club, as well as headlining music festivals like The RockrGrl Music Conference in Seattle, The Riverside Orange Blossom Music Festival in California, and Montana’s outdoor summer concert extravaganzas, ZooGrass and Rockin’ The Rockies.
Pope Jane's discography includes five albums: Pope Jane
(1995), Relief (1998), Hide Me From the Moon (2000), Industry Whore (2001), and
Dog and Pony Show (2003). Pope Jane also appeared on children's compilation
album. We're All Kids On This Bus, donating their children's song
"Everybody Cries Sometimes", pressed to benefit children's advocate
group, The Lost and Foundation, based in Pope Jane is comprised of Danielle Egnew on lead vocals / guitar, Kristen Coyner on drums and backing vocals, and Holly Hoagland Shawver on bass and backing vocals. |
